Niger River

Niger is a state in the geographical area of the Sahel in which more than 2/3 of the territory is desertic.

The homonymous river that crosses the western part of the country therefore represents a great source of life

as well as a pole of social interaction for the local population.

In the capital Niamey, where urban development is progressing exponentially, some people still reside close

to the Niger River, maintaining an almost symbiotic relationship with its waters.
